Strengthening Skills, Community, and Pathways to Careers
This fall semester has been one of growth and connection for All-In Milwaukee scholars. Across eight partner campuses, students have continued meeting with advisors, engaging with partners, and building toward their academic and career goals.
Building on last year’s introduction of the Major & Career Exploration workshops, All-In Milwaukee expanded its career-readiness programming to help scholars turn exploration into action. Through the 8 workshops and one-on-one coaching, scholars – especially first-year students – refined their goals, connected with mentors, and gained hands-on experience to prepare for meaningful summer opportunities and life after graduation.
“As our program works to build careers in Milwaukee, it’s important to begin engaging our scholars in major and career exploration workshops as first years to help them discover what they may want to pursue after graduation,” said Scholar Advisor Lisbeth Solano. “Our workshops this fall have continued to build on what was introduced earlier this year, setting scholars up for success as upperclassmen over the next three years.”
“The planning that goes into our scholar socials is all aimed at helping scholars build a strong sense of community on their campuses with their fellow All-In Milwaukee peers,” said Scholar Advisor Teddy Williams. “We love seeing our scholars in a new – often creative – element outside of our regular advising meetings.”
We look forward to continuing this momentum into the spring semester after students enjoy a well-deserved Thanksgiving and winter break.
