Phong Yue Yang

Phong Yue Yang has over five years of experience working in higher education. He has worked in the nonprofit sector and in both the public and private sectors of higher education institutions. His personal experiences as a scholar and professional of color from Milwaukee drove him to work in higher education to ensure access for all students. Although he had to overcome many inevitable barriers in our marginalized society within higher education and in the workforce, he is committed to helping scholars gain better experiences than he did. He’s the type of advisor who teaches his students not to give up on their career aspirations despite inequities in higher education and the workforce.
