Lidia Becerra brings mental health awareness and advocates on behalf of student needs. Student retention was important to her, and she realized the importance of having diverse representation on campus. She thought leaving the counseling world was the right decision but later realized that there is more work to be done in mental health within her scholars. Using a person-centered approach, she gained the skills necessary to connect with scholars. Lidia makes sure she effectively builds relationships with her scholars by providing unconditional positive regard, empathy, and genuineness. Lidia’s mission is helping her scholars find their inner voice, speak their truth, and always be authentic. That is why she is All-In.
